The owner and manager of a Heartland confined feeding operation have avoided jail time after admitting to illegally discharging pollution into a creek. Etcher Family Farms owner Scott Allen Etcher was sentenced to five years of probation. Etcher farm manager Benjamin Allen McFarland received two years.
